Examination/Admin Officer

Salary: WA7 25 – 31 depending on experience
Contract type: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time only + 1 week.

Farnham Heath End Administration team requires a highly motivated, organised and accurate Examination Officer, with excellent admin, IT and interpersonal skills, to start as soon as possible.
A willingness to work flexibly is essential as the team operates in all areas of the school. This is an office-based role working five days a week, your duties will be varied and may include assisting in a number of different areas when required across the school.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Resourcefulness, enthusiasm, patience, resilience and sense of humour.
• Ability to work independently and with initiative.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer all external and internal examinations in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
• Liaise with exam boards and maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures and requirements
• Process exam entries accurately and on time, monitoring fees and amendment dates and charges.
• Prepare and publish timetables, seating plans and candidate information.
• Ensure appropriate rooms, resources and invigilation are in place.
• Maintain secure and accurate examination records.
• Collaborate with SLT to ensure data accuracy and smooth operational planning.
• Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues internally, centrally and externally.
• Be an effective and flexible member of the team.
• Provide administrative support to staff as needed.
• Keep records in accordance with the school’s record retention schedule and data protection law, ensuring information security and confidentiality at all times.
• Write and send email responses that are professional and uphold the school’s vision and values.
• Work with due regard to confidentiality and the principles of Data Protection, encouraging others to do the same.
• Ensure all duties and responsibilities are undertaken in line with the school’s health and safety policy.
• Due to the nature of the work and the routine of the schools, the workload may not be evenly spread throughout the year.
• Ensure any documentation produced is to a high standard and is in line with the in-house style.
• Participate in training and other learning activities as required.
• Ensuring that the team is aware of important information.
• The above duties are not exhaustive and the post-holder may be required to undertake tasks, roles and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned to them by the Principal and Human Resources.

• GCSE in English and mathematics (or equivalent)
• First aid training (or willingness to complete it)
Relevant Knowledge & Experience
• Carrying out administrative tasks

• Experience of working in a school setting

• Good oral and written communications skills
