Neophix Engineering Company Ltd is a well-established specialist manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and customer service. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a proactive and highly organised Production Planner to join our team. This excellent opportunity offers a full handover period and long-term career stability.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Create and manage works orders to support effective production scheduling.
Liaise with customers to provide order updates, lead times and resolve enquiries.
Work closely with sales, production, engineering, and despatch teams to monitor order progression.
Order component parts in line with sales orders and production schedules.
Organise transport and logistics, including preparation of delivery manifests.
Raise invoices and ensure all associated documentation is completed correctly.
Contribute to ongoing improvements in production workflows and order management processes.
Training & Handover
The successful candidate will spend the first two months working alongside the retiring Production Planner, gaining full familiarity with customers, systems, and internal processes.
During this period, you will take responsibility for your own dedicated customer accounts, gradually taking on the full portfolio as you progress.
After the handover, you will assume full responsibility for the production control function.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in production control, manufacturing coordination, logistics administration, or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confident computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems is preferred but training will be provided.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
