Summary

We’re AmTrust International Underwriters, an insurance business based out of our modern offices in the Temple Bar area of Dublin. As part of a global group, we work creatively to develop bespoke insurance solutions for leading financial institutions, retailers and manufacturers both internationally and globally.

The Dublin office has approximately 75 employees, across various functions. We are a diverse and close knit team and work together to deliver excellence in everything we do. We are extremely proud to have been awarded an Investors in Diversity Silver Award in 2025.

Our results were far beyond the Industry and International standards, with over 95% of our colleagues participating in the survey, with a confidence level of 95% as an inclusive place to work

We are now recruiting a newly qualified Accountant to join our team on permanent basis, this is a key role supporting the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely financial operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial reporting
Performing reconciliations across general ledger, control accounts, and sub-ledger feeds
Preparing audit documentation and ensuring SOX compliance while liaising with internal and external auditors
This role would suit a newly qualified person with existing accounting experience within any sector with a focus on reconciliation, general accounting and MI extraction for regulatory reporting. Knowledge of the insurance or financial services sector would be beneficial but not necessary.

If you are interested in continuing your career within a Global organisation, with plenty of exposure to the whole organisation, this could be the opportunity for you.

With this role, we offer:

Hybrid working
Flexible start times (between 8am and 10am) to help you navigate your commuting needs
25 days holiday as standard + up to 12 additional ‘AmTrust days’ each year
Employee Networks and Commitment to D&I
Educational support
Regular social events and activities with a focus on giving back through charitable events
