Job Type: Full time, 40 hours per week,
Location: Barnard Castle
Are you passionate about safety and precision? We're looking for a proactive Permit Coordinator to manage high-risk work permits and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
What you'll do:
-Issue and manage permits for hot works, confined spaces, excavations, and more
-Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring all safety measures are in place
-Liaise with contractors, project teams, and authorities to align on permit needs
-Support ISO 14001 & 45001 compliance and maintain accurate documentation
-Monitor worksites, audit activities, and close out permits safely
What you'll bring:
-Experience in construction, oil & gas, or similar high-risk sectors
-Strong understanding of Permit-to-Work systems and safety protocols
-NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications preferred
-Sharp attention to detail, great communication, and calm under pressure
