Crynodeb
Operating across the team, you will help to develop a deep understanding of sufficiency in the sector and work to help improve the demand forecasting for the service. The Commissioning and Sufficiency Assistant will help with the trend analysis and evaluation of the service.
Working to support the wider service will give the Commissioning and Sufficiency Assistant a good grasp of the alternative provision and school-based provision available across the city, which would give the post holder opportunities for career development and progression.

The Opportunity
In the role of Commissioning and Sufficiency Assistant, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
Analysing data from corporate systems on education, health and care plans on learner needs and placements to prepare and update sufficiency reports for year groups, needs or key stage.
Preparing reports and analysis on the effectiveness of learner placements in alternative provision and independent settings.
Assisting the team in ensuring contractual arrangements match the terms of the placement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
• Knowledge and understanding of legislation surrounding special educational needs and disabilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills able to reach various audiences
• Analytical skills which can be put to use analysing a wide range of information and data sources
• A meticulous approach to detail and logical reasoning
• Good numerical skills and competence in MS Excel
