Summary
The Salaried GP role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered clinical care, including consultations in person and by telephone; diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions; prescribing medications; and making appropriate referrals. The position also includes maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to audits and quality improvement initiatives, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, supporting training where appropriate, and ensuring compliance with GMC standards, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development. Provide consultations via face-to-face, telephone, and online appointments. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions. Prescribe medications in line with local and national guidelines. Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate. Refer patients to secondary care or other services as required. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Participate in audits, QAIF, LES/DES, and quality improvement initiatives. Support clinical governance and attend practice meetings. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Support training of medical students and GP trainees if applicable. Ensure compliance with GMC standards, confidentiality, and data protection. Engage in CPD and appraisal/revalidation.
