Clinical care: To work across various areas within speech and language therapy services and wider service delivery locations to provide highest standard, evidenced based integrated care. Practise within the code of professional conduct and within their scope of practice, being responsible and accountable for their decisions, actions and omissions at this level of practice. To undertake self-directed and independent assessment, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care for patients presenting with a wide range of highly complex speech and language therapy needs. Diagnose independently as a advanced speech and language therapist for a wide range of conditions following expert assessment of patient need and in line with current clinical guidance. Demonstrate a critical understanding of their broadened level of responsibility and autonomy and the limits of own competence and professional scope of practice, including when working with complexity, risk, uncertainty and incomplete information.
