An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Housekeeper at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This position is for Ward 6 CCU / Cardio.
This is a part time position of 30 hours per week, working across 7 days.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times.
Recent experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment is essential along with an awareness of health and safety as you will be working in a demanding environment. You are also required to be IT literate. Previous experience with stock control and the use of oracle is desirable.
Applicants with previous experience in a health care setting are desirable, however, you will need to demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team in caring for patients and ensuring the patient experience is positive.
The post holder will be expected to take ownership of the stock levels within the department, to include ordering of stock. You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the department.
• To assist in the smooth running of the ward by promoting a clean and healthy environment.
• To be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to meet service requirements and that all equipment within the department is clean and in good working order.
• To assist in the transfer of patients and equipment.
