Description
The Homelessness Prevention & Relief Officer (SO2) plays a crucial role in addressing the pressing issue of homelessness in our community. Responsibilities
Develop and implement homelessness prevention strategies tailored to individual and community needs.
Conduct assessments to identify at-risk individuals and families and connect them with appropriate services.
Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to create referral networks and strengthen support systems.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide guidance and support to individuals experiencing homelessness in navigating available resources.
Facilitate workshops and outreach events to raise awareness about homelessness and available services.
Prepare reports and documentation related to homelessness trends and program outcomes to inform stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, or a related field.
Experience working in social services, crisis intervention, or community outreach.
Strong understanding of homelessness issues and available resources within the community.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse populations.
Ability to assess needs and develop tailored support plans for individuals and families.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems relevant to service delivery.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £23.51
