We are currently recruiting for a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join an all-through SEN school in Plumstead, Southeast London, supporting pupils with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).


Role Details
Required: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Schedule: 5 days per week, full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Start Date: January 2026
End Date: No end date (On-going, long-term)
Location: Plumstead, Southeast London
School Type: All-through SEN school (Primary & Secondary)
Daily Rate: GBP107- GBP110
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD, behavioural and additional needs.
Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and learning interventions.
Support pupils with personal care duties as required.

Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience working with children with SEN (preferably in an SEN school).
Knowledge of ASD and associated learning/behavioural needs.
Ability to use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools (desirable).
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
Child and Adult DBS on the update service.
