Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven UK teaching experience, ideally within Key Stage 1
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to inspire learners
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Passion for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to diverse needs
Year 2 Class Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum, ensuring coverage of core subjects including English, Maths, Science, and foundation subjects.
- Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs), ensuring progress and attainment targets are met.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN and EAL.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages independence, resilience, and curiosity.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pastoral care.
