The role
Are you passionate about protecting the environment and ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? We're offering an exciting opportunity to join our North Wales Control of Agricultural Pollution Team on a permanent basis as an Environment Officer.

We're looking for a confident and motivated individual with strong communication and influencing skills who can make a real impact. If you're naturally inquisitive, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect fit.

You will play a key role in working with the agricultural sector across Powys, carrying out farm inspections - independently and in teams - to ensure compliance with the Control of Agricultural Pollution Regulations.

You'll build productive relationships with farmers and land managers, offering guidance and taking proportionate enforcement action where necessary to drive compliance and protect our natural resources.

You'll also respond swiftly and effectively to environmental incidents, including illegal waste activities, as part of NRW's duty as a Category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act. Covering a large geographical area you will need to hold a valid full UK licence to drive NRW fleet vehicles (cars and vans).

This is a varied, fast-paced role where your decisions matter. Join us and be part of a team that's making a real difference to Wales' environment every day.

About us
As part of the North Wales Control of Agricultural Pollution (CoAPR) team at Natural Resources Wales you will be in a team comprising of officers specialising in CoAPR . The team is part of our North West Wales Operations directorate and covers all of North Wales.
