Are you passionate about wound care and have a specialist interest in Pressure Ulcers and complex would management including TNP therapy? If so this may be the opportunity you are looking for. We are looking for an autonomous practitioner, with access to their own car, who will be responsible for the assessment. management, and evaluation of treatment and/or care of patients with complex would within the community setting across East Suffolk.

You will work closely with clinical teams, providing expert advice for effective management of complex wounds and Pressure Ulcer preventions strategies. You will work with the Senior tissue viability clinical nurse specialist to help develop and disseminate education across the community setting on a range of topics including Pressure Ulcer prevention and would care management. Therefore, you must have an extensive understanding in the prevention and management of Pressure Ulcers and teaching/mentoring experience would be advantageous.

While applications from experienced TVNs are desirable, Nurses with good wound care experience are encourage to apply.

This is part time post for 30 hours per week.









To assist the Tissue Viability Service Leads in providing evidence based TV services across ESNEFT as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

This will include the education of clinical staff, making effective use of resources and the promotion of zero tolerance to the occurrence of pressure ulcers. The post holder will contribute to the provision of a Harm Free Care service across the Trust and the promotion of safer care within the Harm Free specialities.

You will act as a skilled and knowledgeable resource in Tissue Viability and work autonomously within agreed competencies and seek collaborative relationships with others across the professional boundaries.

To ensure that the patient safety agenda informs the management and development of the service including the review of pressure damage which occurs whilst in the care of the Trust when such events occur.
