Band 3 Therapy Assistant - full time (37.5 hours per week)

Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our diverse team of allied health professionals and support staff who work within Acute Medicine at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The post holder will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment of need across a range of conditions which present with varying degrees of complexity. As a Therapy Assistant you will have direct input the treatment of patients who present within acute care, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recovery, promote well-being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life

We are seeking people ideally with a background of therapeutic skills who can adapt to changing environment and work well in a team. You will be expected to be an active member of the therapy and multi-disciplinary teams and strive to treat patients and colleagues with compassion, kindness and respect.



We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to complement our Therapy Service at Hull Royal Infirmary working within Acute Medicine, although there may be a requirement to be able to work at any site and within any clinical area within the Trust.

The post holder will be required to work Monday to Friday and 1 in 5 rolling weekends in order to support with the progression of patients during their inpatient journey. There is also a requirement to contribute to the bank holiday rota.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to gain experience working as a Therapy Assistant to provide support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in carrying out delegated duties. In addition, the post holder will assist in undertaking clerical and administrative duties directly related to patient care including mobility aids and clinical supplies.

An NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent is essential, as is experience in working in healthcare settings, ideally with some therapeutic experience.

We offer excellent in-service training and regular clinical supervision is offered.
