The Opportunity

You will deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE and Entry Level 3 Maths lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our learners within Foundation Learning. High-quality teaching, learning and assessment will be central to your approach, enabling our students to build confidence, strengthen their numeracy skills, and develop effective problem-solving and exam techniques.

You will plan and deliver inspiring lessons that motivate our learners to achieve their personal and academic goals. By monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback, you will play a key role in helping our students prepare for both their GCSE and Entry Level assessments. Your contribution to curriculum development and the creation of engaging resources will further enhance the department’s delivery and support continuous improvement.

Collaboration with colleagues across the Foundation Learning team will support student progression and ensure a consistent, inclusive, and supportive learning experience. Accurate record-keeping of attendance, progress, and achievement will be essential, alongside targeted support for learners who may need additional help to reach their potential.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated GCSE maths Teacher who is committed to supporting our young learners in achieving their academic goals. Ideally, you will have a strong background in teaching maths at GCSE level, with the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Your approach will be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with our students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive student progression. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement will be essential, as will your ability to assess and monitor student progress effectively.

Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.

Required

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent)
• Possess a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Maths
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in English (Grade C/4 or above)
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience working within an educational setting
• Experience of delivering learning to students with a range of abilities and backgrounds
• Experience in developing engaging and inclusive learning materials
