The Opportunity
Are you passionate about helping learners achieve their career goals? As a Trainer in Health, you’ll play a vital role in supporting apprentices and work-based learners to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in their chosen profession.
This is a dynamic role where you’ll teach, assess, and mentor learners, delivering engaging sessions that bring childcare and health topics to life. You’ll also plan and deliver high-quality training, conduct workplace assessments, and guide learners through their journey—from initial skills analysis to successful completion of their end-point assessment.
By building strong relationships with employers, you’ll ensure learners gain valuable real-world experience while promoting repeat business and industry partnerships. Your work will directly shape the future workforce in childcare and health, making a real difference to both learners and the community.
About You
We are looking for a staff member that has an excellent track record in teaching and assessing who can evidence their passion to raise the aspirations of childcare students and support their readiness for progression to Higher Education and or access to the workplace.
As a motivated and flexible professional with experience in delivering apprenticeship programmes and assessing learners in the workplace. You’ll have excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with learners and employers alike.
You’ll have a strong understanding of health-related subjects and stay up to date with industry standards and best practices. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to connect effectively with our students, colleagues, and parents, fostering positive relationships that enhance the learning experience. Adaptability and creativity will also be key, enabling you to tailor your lessons to different learning styles, incorporate real-world applications, and ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.
Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.
Required
• A recognised teaching qualification (or a commitment to achieving a Level 6 PGCE if not already held).
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an occupational area or Level 4 qualification in related field
• Assessor Award (D32/33 or A1/2)
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or an equivalent Level 2 qualification).
• At least 2 years’ work experience in a relevant discipline
Experience of compliance procedures and delivering standards is essential, and knowledge of e-portfolio systems would be an advantage. Above all, you’ll be passionate about supporting learners and committed to continuous improvement.
