The retail division just became the company's largest revenue driver at £7.5m.You'll manage a portfolio of 20 established retail accounts with significant untapped expansion potential. Average account penetration is low, refresh cycles are coming, and recurring revenue from subscriptions provides a strong foundation.Your job: proper account management structure, strategic stakeholder engagement, and maximising the £2m+ opportunity sitting in your portfolio.
THE COMPANY
Body-worn video solutions spanning 40+ countries. Trusted by 70% of UK police forces. Now expanding across retail, local authorities, and commercial sectors. Revenue: £27-30m | Headcount: THE ROLEAccount management role requiring hunter mentality. You'll own 20 retail accounts (£40k-£200k ARR each) where relationships exist, but engagement has been inconsistent. Success means running quarterly business reviews, mapping complex stakeholder environments (Loss Prevention, IT, Security, Health & Safety), identifying expansion opportunities, and hitting £1m revenue target from your portfolio.This isn't passive farming. Some accounts need re-engagement. Some are primed for expansion. All need structured account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as single point of contact for portfolio of 20 retail accounts
- Develop and execute strategic account plans with clear stakeholder mapping
- Run quarterly business reviews independently with senior stakeholders
- Drive expansion: cross-site rollouts, new departments, hardware refresh cycles
- Secure contract renewals and long-term business continuity
- Partner with Technical Account Managers and Support for customer success
- Maintain accurate CRM forecasting and provide market intelligence
- Customer site visits 2-3 times per month across the UK.
WHO YOU ARE
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' B2B account management experience
- Complex solution sales background (not transactional)
- Strong fundamentals: account mapping, QBRs, strategic planning
- Multi-stakeholder management across technical and operational functions
- Energy and presence for senior-level conversations
- Proven track record of results and career progression
- Pure sales/account management background
- UK travel (2-3 visits/month) + office 1-2 days/week
Desirable:
- Retail sector experience or understanding
- SaaS or subscription revenue model background
- Security or safety solutions experience
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce)
- Structured sales methodology exposure (MEDDPICC, etc.)
