Job Overview:
The Hamlets Living provides supported accommodation for young people aged 16+.
We are seeking experienced Residential Support Workers with a background in a OFSTED regulated care environment to join our dedicated team.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in:
Safeguarding and being an advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard, respected, and acted upon.
Provide a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment that promotes security and wellbeing.
Encouraging independence and resilience in line with individual support plans.
Work collaboratively within a close-knit team, maintaining open communication and reporting directly to the Registered Manager.
Support young people with personal care, health, and hygiene needs, always with sensitivity and dignity.
Plan and engage in activities that are fun, stimulating, and tailored to the interests, abilities, and goals of each young person.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Ofsted regulated environment (e.g. residential, supported living, or similar).
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
Experience in supporting young people who may be vulnerable to exploitation or involvement in risky behaviours, or the ability to explain how you would approach this.
The ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviours effectively and empathetically.
