Our client, a leading education provider in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-time Outreach SEMH Tutor to support secondary school students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As an integral part of our client's team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be based in Chelmsford, Essex, and will work closely with secondary school students, their families, and school staff to develop and implement personalised support plans. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective interventions that address the unique needs of each student, fostering a positive learning environment where they can thrive.

Key responsibilities of the Full-time Outreach SEMH Tutor include:
- Assessing and identifying the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff
- Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students, adapting support plans as necessary
- Providing guidance and advice to school staff and families on strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of interventions and progress
- Collaborating with external agencies and professionals as required to ensure a holistic approach to support

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (e.g. , BEd, PGCE, or degree in Psychology or Social Work)
- Proven experience working with secondary school students with SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A creative and flexible approach to problem-solving and supporting students
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in SEMH support
