Function testing and safe handling of specialist testing equipment (individual items ranging from £1000 to £20,000) Perform routine quality assurance measurements on expensive equipment (from £1000 to £250,000) Perform commissioning tests on expensive equipment (£1000 to £250,000) Assist senior staff in routine quality assurance measurement on complex equipment (from £50,000 to £500,000) Perform routine patient and environmental dose assessments and produce summary reports for scientific and clinical staff Assist in evaluation of new test equipment Assist Radiology staff with evaluation of new medical equipment by providing comparative reports based on measured technical data Support the Radiographer QA programme by developing documentation and technical procedures, and reviewing and commenting on results Train new staff and trainees in the use of test equipment Train new staff and trainees in routine quality assurance measurements Propose changes to operational policies that may impact on own area and others Write technical procedures for own area
