Salary: £35,117 to £44,704 per annum for an exceptional candidate. This includes a 10% recruitment incentive
Location: Castleford College
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join our Engineering department, where you will teach practical and theoretical courses in Mechanical Engineering. We have some excellent facilities and strong links with industrial partners. You will join our innovative team of highly qualified professionals. We are particularly interested in hearing from CAD specialists, Hydraulic, Pneumatics and Fluid Power specialists and individuals with Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of students, by providing them with the engineering skills, knowledge and training required to enable them to achieve their goals, while ensuring the economic development and success of engineering industries.
We are seeking a motivated person who is enthusiastic about working with young people, adults and employers, has up-to-date engineering industry knowledge and expertise, a passion for engineering and an excellent team player.
As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you should:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Have experience in a relevant industry and/or educational setting
- Have practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
- Hold GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
-An IQA qualification is desirable but not essential
We are looking for people with excellent communication skills, drive and enthusiasm, qualified in their specific subject area and who would like to pass their knowledge and skills on to our students.
