You will play an essential role in helping young people feel safe, listened to, and valued during difficult hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overnight care, supervision, and emotional support to children and young people aged 8 to 18
Conduct regular welfare checks and maintain accurate records throughout your shift
Offer a calm, professional response to any incidents or behavioural challenges during the night
Work in line with safeguarding procedures and care plans
Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment
Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year’s experience working within an EBD children’s residential setting is essential
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries
The ability to remain calm, compassionate, and resilient in challenging situations
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends where required
