Summary
Purpose of the job
The day to day delivery, organisation, leadership and management of the developing new school base to include:
Deployment and co-ordination of the work of HLTA, TA’s and other support staff.
Assessment of the educational and communication needs of pupils in the base.
Overseeing all specialist programmes written and carried out by the teaching and support staff.
Delivering effective and efficient support to ensure that the educational needs of the pupils within the base are met and that they are enabled access to a broad and balanced curriculum within an inclusive setting.
Implementing appropriate policies and practices to ensure the continual development of the base within the school and LA.
Teaching and assessing and monitoring ASD pupils within the base.
Delivering advice and training to staff within the base and to enable the effective teaching of pupils with ASD.
To lead a small team of teaching staff.
