We are currently recruiting an experienced Welder/Fabriator to join our team on a permanent contract at our site in South Kirkby, Pontefract.

Job Title: Welder/Fabriator

Duties:

• Responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, marking out and preparing materials, and ensuring all components meet design specifications before fabrication. Duties include cutting, bending, assembling, and finishing metal components, performing quality checks, completing documentation, and adhering to all company health and safety regulations.

Days/Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:30 – 13:00

Qualifications (MUST HAVE):

•Previous experience as a metal fabricator welder
•Experience working with mild steel, Zintec, and galvanised sheet (0.9 mm to 30 mm)
•Additional experience with mild steel (2 mm to 10 mm)
•Proficiency in operating an overhead crane (advantage)
•Welding experience/certification (advantage)
•Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
•Ability to read and interpret 2D & 3D engineering drawings
•Proficient with metal fabrication tools
•Strong mathematical and engineering skills
•Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
•Able to stand for long periods

Pay Rate: Negotiable
