Part Time: 10 hours per week / 2 days (flexibility over which days)

Working Weeks: 39 weeks

Start Date: January 2026

It’s been a great few years for Hewett Academy with fantastic GCSE results, 8 pieces of artwork in the Royal Academy, a complete school rebuilding project on the horizon, an Ofsted grading of “Good with Outstanding features” and results that make us one of the highest performing in Norfolk and the 3rd most improved on progress in England! We now have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our committed and hardworking team at Hewett Academy.

What You’ll Be Doing

- To be a visible, positive staff member to welcome parents and visitors
- To undertake administrative, secretarial, work processing/typing, computing and information/data services, ensuring functions efficiently meet the needs of the school - particularly for the attendance & pastoral teams
- To provide support to reprographics, reception cover and break duties
- To support with the organisation in advance of trips, visits or electives
- To attend first aid training and be a first aider as part of a rota

About You:

You will be someone with strong organisational and time management skills, as well as good communication and computer literacy. Additionally, you will be detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Essential:

- Good numeracy and literacy skills/GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
- General or administrative experience
- Fully competent at using ICT
- Confident in use of Office 365

Desirable:

- Basic knowledge of first aid
