Imagine being the reason someone gets their confidence back. Imagine helping someone land their first job in years. As a Job Coach, you’ll work with people across Ceredigion who’ve been out of work for a while – helping them take real steps toward a brighter future. Fixed Term until 30/06/2027.
Futureworks is looking for a motivated and empathetic Job Coach to join our employability team, based in Aberystwyth & Lampeter you will be supporting people across Ceredigion on their journey back into sustainable employment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering the DWP Restart Scheme, aimed at helping Universal Credit claimants who have been unemployed for 6 months or more find meaningful work.
In this role, you will:
Work directly with individuals who are long-term unemployed, guiding them through their employment journey
Provide one-to-one support to overcome personal and practical barriers to employment
Offer tailored coaching, job search support, confidence building, and re-training guidance
Collaborate with local employers, training providers, and other stakeholders to create employment opportunities
Build strong, positive relationships and act as a trusted, motivational adviser
Track progress, meet performance targets, and celebrate client successes along the way
What we’re looking for:
Bilingual fluency in Welsh and English is desirable – you’ll be engaging with individuals and businesses across Ceredigion
A strong background in employability, advice and guidance, recruitment, or customer service
Excellent interpersonal skills – you're a natural relationship-builder, motivator, and problem solver
A self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and hit targets
A good understanding of the local employment and recruitment landscape, including self-employment options

Additional Information:
You’ll need access to your own transport, as the role involves travel throughout Ceredigion and occasionally Pembrokeshire
