Quick Info
• Part-time: 20 hours per week
• Location: Bristol City Centre
• Start: February 2026
• ⏳ Duration: 9-month maternity cover (possible extension)
• Salary: £31,200 FTE (Pro rata £16,640)
• Reports to: Trustees

About Hope Against Suicide

We are a frontline suicide prevention charity providing rapid support through our Listening Hub, on‑foot Response Team and community outreach. We believe in human‑to‑human support and making help accessible, compassionate and immediate.

What You’ll Do

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across both Listening Hubs (The Arcade + Cabot Circus)
• Coordinate Hub and on‑foot Response Team shifts
• Build strong relationships with volunteers and service users
• Keep our spaces calm, safe and welcoming
• Support volunteers through supervision, updates and clear communication
• Ensure policies, safety standards and procedures are followed
• Support fundraising efforts and spot new opportunities
• Represent us at meetings and community partnerships
• Handle core admin, inbox management and volunteer records
• Report regularly to Trustees

Essential Experience

• Experience in a charity or volunteer led organisation
• People or volunteer management
• Operational or community coordination
• Strong admin and communication skills
• Flexible and able to work both independently and within a team
Desirable Experience
• Experience in mental health or suicide prevention
• Safeguarding knowledge
• Stakeholder or partnership work
• Managing multiple teams or projects
