Jewellery Buying Assistant
Buying & Merchandising
Permanent - 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
£24,030 per annum + benefits + bonus

We’re looking for a Buying Assistant to join our Jewellery Buying and Merchandising team at our offices in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire.
As our new Jewellery Buying Assistant you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as creating and maintaining range plans, raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries. In addition, the Buyer’s Assistant will support the Buyer in the development of product ranges, sample management and ad hoc administrative tasks to help maximise sales.
Main Responsibilities
Dealing with suppliers to request/supply information via email and telephone and build effective partnerships
Responsible for stock order placement and management, ensuring all category orders are delivered on time, liaising with suppliers for delivery deadlines and ensuring accuracy
Contributing to the daily tasks within the department with a large focus on supporting the new line function data collection, checking, and inputting information
Supporting the Buyers in preparation of range and assortment plans in line with business strategies
Assist the Buyers with analysis of performance and product trends to build on successes to drive appropriate product development
Assist with analysis of market information and competition
Ensure clear effective communication within own department and business key stakeholders
Assist Buyers to liaise with other departments of the business, Retail, Stock in, Finance etc. to provide these departments with the information necessary to enable them to perform efficiently
Work closely with the Merchandise Planner to ensure that the department KPI’s and strategy are achieved
Develop an appropriate knowledge of all relevant systems
Undertake any ad-hoc duty assigned in the pursuit of maximum company profit or efficiency
Store support via email & telephone.
