Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for one of Norfolk's biggest recycle companies based on the outskirts of Norwich. They're currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate the loading shovel to move materials within the plant, including recyclable materials and waste products.


  • Load and unload materials from containers, vehicles, and stockpiles.


  • Ensure efficient material flow to and from processing areas, while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.


  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery, reporting any faults or issues.


  • Collaborate with the site team to meet production goals and quality standards.


  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed.


  • Work closely with supervisors and other staff to meet the recycling plant’s operational requirements.


    Skills & Experience Required:
    • Proven experience as a Loading Shovel Operator, preferably in a recycling or waste management environment.


    • Valid CPCS or equivalent certification for Loading Shovel operation.


    • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.


    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of materials.


    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.


    • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.
      Job Specifics

      • Full time role working a 4 on 4 off rotational pattern.

      • 12 hour shifts, 06:00-18:00

      • Overtime pay available
