We are expanding our team of Rheumatology Nurse Specialists at Imperial College Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated team who deliver expert patient care across three hospital sites.
If you are hard-working, dynamic and forward-thinking individual and either possess an established knowledge of Rheumatology or you interested in Rheumatology and have transferable skills we would like to hear from you.
We seek nurses who possess excellent interpersonal skills, are enthusiastic, and work well as part of a team, as well as having the ability to work independently managing their own workload. The CNS will work in close collaboration with a team of nurses, doctors and the wider multi-disciplinary team to help deliver expert and high-quality care for our patient cohort.
We run inflammatory arthritis, biologic and disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug screening and education clinics. We are due to expand our early arthritis and osteoporosis specialist rheumatology nursing services. The CNS team participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings for biologic therapies and early arthritis. Alongside managing clinics, the CNS team offer patients an advice line service to support self -management of their condition out of the hospital setting.
We seek to recruit into two positions, one a substantive post and the other a 12month fixed term maternity leave cover. B6 nurses with relevant experience, secondment and job share will be considered for the posts.
• To provide specialist nursing and management of patients within the Rheumatology department, The post holder will work autonomously and in collaboration with the medical and wider multi-disciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
• To provide specialist nursing advice and procedures to support and facilitate exemplary, individualised care to patients and relatives and darers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in line with local and national targets.
• The post-holder will provide high level specialist nursing care and support dealing with complex situations and when required will deputise for their line manager.
• The post holder will be flexible in provision of cover and will act as a professional role model in clinical care, teaching, training, research and audits in their specialist area.
