At Sodexo, we value you for who you are. As a Porter/Delivery Driver at King's School, Rochesterone of England’s oldest schools, you’ll deliver food provisions to various sites around the school campus and support with kitchen porter duties when required. You'll also ensure school orders are delivered, product quantities accounted for, and documentation completed to meet customer requests.
What You’ll Do:Ensure customers’ orders are delivered, product quantities accounted for and documentation completed
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Adhere to daily delivery schedule and meet customers time slots
Drive a company vehicle and comply with Sodexo’s driving policy and regulations
Deliver food supplies to various locations across the school campus.
Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues and client staff
Promote a good company image to customers and guests by using positive customer service practices.
Liaise with Contract Manager, Senior Chef’s and Supervisors
Accept deliveries of stock ensuring they are correct and any damage or discrepancies are recorded
Ensure that any orders are suitably packaged ready for delivery
Keep accurate records of where stock is allocated around site.
Ensure the safety and security of the stock.
Complete frequent and accurate stock takes
Report any complaints and act where possible
Undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the departments activities.
Comply with all company health and safety and food safety compliance rules and to report any issues.
Maintain HACCAP records in the stores area and transportation
IRREGULAR DUTIES:
- Assist as required with driving that may occur outside of regular hours.
- Deliver and collect light equipment to various locations across the school campus.
- Report any incident of accident, fire, theft, loss damage and take action as may be appropriate or possible.
- Attend meetings and courses as required, and to complete any online training that is required for the role.
- Complete stock orders with suppliers.
Must hold full UK current driving license for three years and be over 25 (legal requirement)
Good time management and organisational skills
Self-motivated and pro-active
Ability to work in a role that requires physical effort and perform manual handling tasks
Ability to work as part of a team or individually as needed
Ability to work well under pressure
Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
Numerate and Literate
Desirable
- Experience in similar role either in a stores/ warehouse capacity or kitchen/catering environment.
