Key Responsibilities:

Provide early intervention and family support to children, young people, and their families across the Isles of Scilly.

Carry out strength-based assessments, manage risk, and coordinate multi-agency support.

Deliver outcome-focused social work that promotes resilience and prevents escalation to statutory safeguarding or CP processes.

Act as the social work lead in Early Help/Early Intervention cases.

Support step-down from statutory pathways into Early Help when appropriate.

Work collaboratively in a very small, community-driven team (only 2 Children’s Social Workers + 1 Adult Social Worker).

Enjoy a role with no court work, allowing a strong focus on relationship-based practice.

Essential Requirements:

Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.

2+ years post-qualification experience (Children & Families preferred).

Strong understanding of UK legislation, Early Help frameworks, and strengths-based practice.

Right to work in the UK.
