We are looking to appoint a supportive and enthusiastic KS2 Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly primary school in South Liverpool. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across Key Stage 2, helping pupils to make good progress and feel confident in their abilities.
Your role will involve assisting in lessons, delivering small-group or 1:1 support, and helping pupils to stay focused and engaged. You may be asked to work with children who need additional support in reading, writing, or maths, as well as those with SEN who require adapted tasks or extra encouragement. Strong communication and a calm, patient approach are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
You will work as part of a supportive staff team, contributing to a positive learning environment and providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and commitment to helping every child succeed.
This role would suit someone with experience in education, childcare, or youth work who is passionate about supporting children's learning. A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
