About the Role

We are recruiting for an Administrative Officer to join HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) at Hatton Cross, Feltham. Administrative Officers play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of courts and tribunals, ensuring cases are processed efficiently and that excellent customer service is delivered to court users, the judiciary, and the public.

This is a key role within the Operational Delivery Profession, providing essential front-line services that help keep the justice system running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process court papers, case files, and legal documents.

  • Support hearings and tribunals by ensuring all materials are accurate and up to date.

  • Handle customer enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face at the public counter.

  • Input and maintain accurate records using HMCTS systems.

  • Open and distribute post; organise meetings and prepare related documents.

  • Assist with listing, scheduling, and communicating with court users and stakeholders.

  • Verify and check documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Contribute to team meetings and process improvement activities.

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to colleagues and managers as required.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C)* or equivalent, or relevant administrative experience.

  • Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team and manage a varied workload.
