Do you have the vision, enthusiasm and initiative to ensure the delivery of a high quality professional service to meet the needs of our customer and service users within Facility Support Services covering our Community Facility and School Crossing Patrol service. If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our team.
The Area Manager is responsible for supporting the caretaking/cleaning provision and building management within in our community facilities, along with bookings in the school/hub estate. This role also encompassed the management of the school crossing patrol service ensuring the delivery of a high quality, professional service, delivering positive outcomes for the communities of North Lanarkshire Council.
With a HND or equivalent in a relevant subject, you need to be an excellent communicator, have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands in a fast-paced environment and keep calm under pressure. You must also have experience of working in a customer focused environment.
You will have extended management or supervisory experience in a relevant environment, be customer focussed and have experience of managing and controlling budgets and resources. Managing HR issues including recruitment, retention and motivation of staff and absence management is a central part of this role.
You require to be able to prioritise and problem solve and have the ability to network and lead/guide your team. Previous experience of training staff would be desirable. It is essential that you have an understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation related to health & Safety.
You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.

Work pattern:
Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
