Role: Teaching Assistant - EYFS
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Contract: January 2026 – July 2026
About the role
Source Supply is seeking an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in central Chesterfield.
The role is based in the nursery, so applicants must hold a DfE-recognised early years qualification and ideally have previous experience working within EYFS. The position involves some nappy changing.
We’re looking for someone with a warm, nurturing approach who is ready to get fully involved in the day-to-day life of the nursery. You should feel confident supporting small groups of children, have a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum, and be able to extend children’s learning through high-quality provision.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Hold a DFE recognised qualification in early years
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
