Neway International are seeking two Joiner/Multi-Trades (Trades & Operatives) to join our client Nottingham Community Housing Association.
Hours: 37 per week
Start Date: 15 December 2025
Pay Rates: PAYE £18.50 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £24.21 per hour

The Role
As a Joiner/Multi-Trades Operative, you will deliver installation, maintenance, and repair works across NCHA’s housing stock and external customers. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, efficiency, and a customer-focused approach. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and partners to provide a seamless service, ensuring all works are completed to high standards and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out joinery and multi-trade installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
Co-ordinate with other trades and contractors to deliver excellent customer service.
Manage stock and supplies to avoid delays in service delivery.
Complete documentation accurately and on time, maintaining manual and computerised records.
Identify efficiencies and gaps in service delivery, reporting them to line management.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, minimising risks at all times.
Provide relief cover and emergency support when required.
Deliver value for money and meet performance targets agreed with management.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in joinery (e.g. City & Guilds).
Extensive post-qualification experience in joinery and multi-trade works (plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting).
Proven success in delivering a varied workload in a customer-focused, target-driven environment.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to use computerised data recording equipment.
Valid driving licence.
Personal Qualities:
Understanding of the needs of diverse communities.
Commitment to NCHA’s CLEAR values.
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
