Working hours: Multiple roles available including 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri), 16 hours per week (Sat-Sun) and 8 hours per week (Sat-Sun)
Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour

About the position:
We are looking for a Buildings Cleaner to join our team and provide a comprehensive cleaning service to YMCA Bournemouth’s accommodation schemes within BCP. As part of the role, you will work within the housing department, ensuring all our accommodation schemes are cleaned to a high standard and are safe and welcoming for our residents.

This role will involve:
Daily cleaning
Sanitisation
Waste disposal
Deep cleaning as and when necessary
Health and safety compliance

Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Good verbal communication
Personal attributes:
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and committed to providing a high standard of cleaning within our housing schemes
You should be comfortable working alongside others and working independently with minimal supervision
You should have a positive and approachable attitude
Empathy and understanding towards our residents are essential
You must be reliable and trustworthy

Qualifications and experience:
Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning (essential)
NVQ (or equivalent) in cleaning and/or support (desirable)

Additional information:

The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk that they may come across using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership and Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance.
Employment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service check. If the role involves regulated activity with children or adults at risk, your employment will be subject to an Enhanced level DBS check prior to commencement date. All other applicable roles will be subject to a Basic level DBS check prior to commencement date.
