Working Hours:08:30 – 13:30 (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate:£16.00 per hour (PAYE)
Work Address:Rendlesham Primary School, Sycamore Drive, Rendlesham , Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 2GF


Role Purpose:

To lead the kitchen temporarily, preparing and delivering high-quality meals for approximately 150 covers per day, ensuring both hot and cold food service runs smoothly. The Chef will supervise two Food Service Assistants on site and maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals for approximately 150 covers per day

Deliver both hot and cold food service efficiently

Supervise and support two Food Service Assistants on site

Ensure kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Assist with menu planning and portion control

Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management

Follow all school or site-specific procedures and policies

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS required

Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred

Previous experience as a Chef or Head of Kitchen in a busy environment

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and lead a small team

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to cover temporary assignments
