Job Description
Job Title:Cleaner
Start Date:ASAP
Working Hours:15:30 – 19:30 (4 hours per day)
Days of week:Monday to Friday
Pay Rate:£12.21 per hour
Work Address:Gt Whelnetham Primary Stanningfield Rd Bury St Edmunds IP30 0UA
Role Purpose:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the school premises, ensuring classrooms, offices, and communal areas are kept to a high standard for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas
Hoovering, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
Sanitising high-touch areas to maintain hygiene
Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely
Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the site manager
Following all school health and safety and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and reliably
Good attention to detail and punctuality
DBS may be required depending on school policy
