Are you an experienced and passionate Learning Disabilities Manager with strong expertise in autism, learning disability support, and residential care management? We are looking for a dedicated leader to manage our small, person-centred learning disabilities residential home in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

About the Role

As the Learning Disabilities Manager, you will be responsible for the full operational management of a small residential home supporting adults with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and additional support needs. You will lead a committed team, champion best practice and ensure the highest standards of person-centred care.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, community-focused environment and wants to make a meaningful, long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a learning disabilities residential home


  • Develop personalised support plans for adults with autism and learning disabilities


  • Supervise, coach and inspire a skilled care team


  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements


  • Promote independence, communication and positive behaviour strategies (PBS)


  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals and external agencies


  • Oversee staff rotas, training, audits and quality assurance processes


    Essential Requirements

    • Strong experience supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs


    • Previous leadership or management experience in residential care or supported living


    • Excellent understanding of CQC regulations, risk management and safeguarding


    • Person-centred approach with a focus on dignity, empowerment and inclusion


    • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
