Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Runcorn
Salary: £26,520 per annum plus additional for on-call duties
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with additional on-call duties)

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality care and ensuring the best outcomes for service users? We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team and help us maintain and improve standards across our care services.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will support the Registered Care Manager in implementing a robust quality assurance framework. You’ll monitor care standards, carry out audits, and provide specialist advice to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice. This role involves working closely with health partners, safeguarding teams, and CQC colleagues to promote safe, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities


Monitor and assess care quality using our Care Management System.
Conduct reviews, risk assessments, and competency checks.
Highlight and address poor practices, providing training and support where needed.
Carry out monitoring visits and audits of care plans and case files.
Work collaboratively with partners to implement quality monitoring tools.
Ensure compliance with equality, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.


What We’re Looking For


Essential:


Experience working with people and delivering care to vulnerable service users.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards of care.


Desirable:

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
Knowledge of Birdie Care Management System.
Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role.




Additional Requirements


Own vehicle and willingness to travel.
Ability to complete on-call duties and work flexibly, including Bank Holidays.
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance.
