Summary

The Role
As a Damp and Mould Technical Support Officer, you will provide proactive support to the Damp & Mould Team, focusing on the identification, assessment, and resolution of damp and mould issues across the council’s housing portfolio. This role is primarily office-based, with hybrid working arrangements, and will involve close collaboration with surveyors and the Repairs Partnering team to enhance operational efficiency. You will act as the primary contact point for responsive repairs, manage inbox queries, and coordinate team schedules to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Provide resident-centred support for damp and mould issues across the housing portfolio.

Manage the responsive damp & mould inbox and coordinate team schedules.

Act as the primary contact point for the Damp & Mould team during site visits.

Support surveyors and the Repairs Partnering team with effective communication and coordination.

Ensure documentation and processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Contribute to the operational efficiency of the team and wider housing services.

Candidate Requirements
Eligible to work in the UK.

Basic DBS clearance (required).

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Resident-focused approach with attention to detail.

Confidentiality agreement and two years’ references/work history required at offer stage.
