Summary
Care Assistant, based at Coppelia House, Moretonhampstead - Full time/part time hours available, to include alternate weekends.
Days - £12.50, £12.75 per hour at weekends
Nights - £12.70, £12.95 per hour at weekends
Every day matters. Every person matters. You make the difference.
This isn’t your typical 9-to-5. You’ll be part superhero, part comedian, part emotional support guru. Some days you’ll be helping someone with breakfast. Other days, you’ll be refereeing a spirited board game debate.
And yes - some days you’ll hold a hand through tears, help someone navigate a tough moment, or stay calm when things get chaotic. But here’s the thing: even on the tricky days, it’s incredibly rewarding.
Why This Role is Special
You’ll laugh. A lot. Sometimes at yourself, sometimes at impromptu dance-offs in the lounge.
You’ll feel deep connections. Some days you’ll celebrate victories big and small, and other days you’ll share in quiet, heartfelt moments that mean the world.
You’ll be challenged. There will be messy moments, emotional ones, and days that test your patience - but you’ll grow, and so will the people you support.
You’ll be a legend. Not all heroes wear capes - some wear comfy shoes, a big smile, and a heart full of care.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting residents with dignity, compassion, and a touch of humour—even when it’s hard.
Helping with daily routines and personal care, ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable.
Encouraging participation in activities, from arts and crafts to karaoke, themed events, and gentle exercise.
Managing the tricky, emotional, or unpredictable moments with calm, empathy, and kindness.
Getting to know residents as people, not just faces, and creating moments that brighten their day.
Who You Are

You understand that even small gestures - a smile, a kind word, or a shared laugh - can make a huge difference.
No prior care experience? No problem. We need heart, patience, and resilience above all.
What we offer:
A role where you’ll see the difference you make every single day.
Fully paid training plus excellent opportunities to grow and progress.
