Pay Rate:£12.21 per hour
Role Purpose:
To ensure that outdoor spaces—including parks, schools, public areas, and business properties—remain healthy, tidy, and visually appealing. The Grounds Maintenance Operative will carry out a range of maintenance tasks to help maintain safe, clean, and well-presented outdoor environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out lawn care including mowing, strimming, and edging
Perform hedge trimming and general shrub maintenance
Assist with tree surgery operations where required
Conduct weed control, including authorised treatment application
Remove litter and ensure overall site cleanliness
Undertake planting, bedding work, and seasonal horticultural tasks
Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on grounds machinery and tools
Follow all health and safety procedures and site-specific guidelines
Support wider grounds maintenance activities across multiple outdoor locations
