Sandea Wholesale Ltd is seeking a highly skilled, analytical, and forward-thinking Head of Finance to lead the company’s financial strategy, operations, and planning. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial functions, ensure robust financial controls, support commercial decision-making, and guide the organisation toward sustainable growth. This role requires strong leadership, deep financial expertise, and the ability to partner with senior management to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
o Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
o Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
o Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
o Analyse financial trends, risks, and opportunities to guide company direction.
2. Financial Operations & Reporting:
o Oversee daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and payroll.
o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports.
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
o Ensure timely closing of accounts and adherence to reporting deadlines.
3. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management:
o Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
o Oversee internal and external audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.
o Maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and financial misstatements.
o Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.



4. Cash Flow & Budget Management:
o Manage company cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
o Monitor spending, cost centres, and budget adherence across departments.
o Ensure efficient working capital management and optimise financial resources.
o Provide regular cash flow analysis and recommendations.
5. Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure strong performance and professional growth.
o Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support training initiatives.
o Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
o Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and across the business.
6. Business Partnering & Collaboration:
o Work closely with department heads to support commercial and operational decisions.
o Provide financial modelling and analysis to support new projects, supplier negotiations, and strategic initiatives.
o Collaborate with senior leadership to drive profitability and business sustainability.
7. Systems, Processes & Efficiency:
o Review and improve financial systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o Drive digital transformation within the finance function, including automation and the use of financial software.
o Ensure proper data security, confidentiality, and compliance in all financial systems.
8. Strategic Growth & Continuous Improvement:
o Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities with financial due diligence.
o Identify areas for financial improvement and implement best practices.
o Champion a proactive, solution-focused approach across all finance activities.
