Summary

Neway International are seeking a Property Pathway and Sustainability Officer to join our client West Sussex County Council.

The Role
As a Property Pathway and Sustainability Officer, you will sit within the property and accommodation structure strand, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Communities directorate, local partners, and District and Borough councils. Your role will focus on securing suitable residential accommodation, overcoming barriers to housing, and preventing premature loss of tenancies.

This is a varied and impactful position, requiring you to work directly with refugee and migrant families to support their relocation to the UK. You will also build strong working relationships with estate agents, landlords, and the Home Office to secure housing across West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure suitable residential accommodation for refugee and migrant families.

Work collaboratively with partners to overcome barriers to housing.

Support families to sustain tenancies and prevent premature accommodation loss.

Build strong relationships with estate agents, landlords, and the Home Office.

Provide direct support to individuals and families relocating to the UK.

Travel across West Sussex to meet housing needs (locations may not always be accessible by public transport).

Candidate Requirements
Valid UK driving licence (essential).

Strong knowledge of housing pathways and sustainability.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

Flexibility to travel county-wide as required.

Regular and intrinsic ability to communicate in English with members of the public.
