About The Company
Cavendish View School provides a nurturing and stimulating education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (A.S.C) and special education needs (S.E.N) from the ages of 5 to 11 years.
We provide every child with an exceptional educational experience which is enjoyable, stimulating and supportive, enabling them to reach their full potential. We are a small school but we have big ideas and do not set limits on what our children can both aspire to and achieve. Our goal is to give the children at Cavendish View School a window on the wider world.
Pupils benefit from a multi-disciplinary team consisting of teachers, a family liaison officer, teaching assistants, a speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist and a mental health practitioner.
About The Role
Positive Behaviour Support Assistant (PBS Practitioner)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
We’re looking for a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Assistant (PBS Practitioner) to join our school team and help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for pupils with additional needs.
What you’ll do:

- Work directly with pupils who present behaviours that challenge, supporting staff to implement effective strategies.
- Collect and analyse behavioural data, contribute to functional assessments, and assist in developing person-centred PBS plans.
- Monitor and review interventions, attend multi-disciplinary meetings, and provide clear reports.
- Support transitions for new pupils and engage with parents/carers through meetings and workshops.
- Deliver staff training and promote best practice across the school.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience or knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
- Level 4 PBS or willing to work towards Level 4 or 5.
