Assistant Headteacher – Teaching & Learning
Required Summer term 2026 (would possibly consider Sept 26 for ideal candidate)
Leadership Scale L7 – L10 (inclusive of London Weighting)
Due to the promotion of our existing AHT, the Governors wish to appoint an aspirational and dedicated Assistant Head teacher with a proven track record of working in a primary setting to join our senior leadership team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading all aspects of Teaching and Learning across theschool. The position is non-class based but with a teaching commitment of sets in Year 6.
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in improving the quality of provision in the area they have led in either a middle or senior leadership role along with a desire and determination to improve the educational experience of the students in Greenwood Primary School.

• Is an experienced senior/middle leader with a proven track record.
• Is an outstanding primary school teacher who puts children at the heart of what they do
• Has proven experience of raising standards for pupils
• Has a passion for the teaching and learning of all pupils and raising their attainment.
• Is experienced in the development of curriculum across the primary phase
• Has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the energy and enthusiasm to play a key role in school with high expectations of both themselves and others
• Can lead, inspire and support others to fulfil their potential.
• Is ambitious and driven to make a difference as a member of our school leadership team
• Is an innovative and strategic thinker with vision, ideas and strong ethics
