Warehouse Storeman - Cardiff

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Salary: £30,000 circa per annum + employee benefits

Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of a client in Cardiff who is looking for an experienced Warehouse Storeman to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience managing high-value, fast-moving warehouse stores and strong organisational skills.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, maintaining accurate stock levels, and supporting wider operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving Goods

  • Check and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes

  • Safely unload goods and report any discrepancies or damage

Storage & Inventory Management

  • Organise and store materials in designated areas

  • Maintain accurate stock records using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems

  • Carry out regular stock checks and audits

Order Fulfilment

  • Pick and pack orders accurately according to picking lists

  • Prepare items for dispatch, including secure packaging and labelling

Warehouse Upkeep

  • Keep stores clean, organised, and compliant with H&S regulations

  • Report hazards, shortages, or issues promptly

Documentation & Systems

  • Update inventory and movement records accurately

  • Use Microsoft Office and warehouse software for reporting and stock control

  • Support the transition to the new bespoke stock control system

Customer Service

  • Assist with internal and external stock enquiries

  • Help resolve issues related to orders or inventory discrepancies

Requirements

  • Experience managing high-value and fast-moving stores (essential)

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Ability to work accurately, independently, and proactively

  • Confident communicator with strong organisational abilities

  • Physically capable of lifting/moving items and standing for periods

  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures

  • Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Industry experience preferred but not essential
